Chelation therapy is considered as an alternative medicine that has the purpose of removing heavy metals and toxins from the blood. It involves intravenous injections of a chelating agent, EDTA (Ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid), a synthetic amino acid.
EDTA binds two heavy metals and minerals in the blood streams so that they can be excreted in the urine. Heavy metals gets deposited in our body from soil, water, food etc. e.g., if you have mercury (amalgam) filling in your teeth, have been vaccinated a lot for the various diseases, eat farm raised fish regularly etc…can increases heavy metal content in your body.
EDTA removes the heavy metals so as the calcium from the blood stream and reducing the plaque (which is due to excessive calcium in the blood vessels) and so it reduces arthrosclerosis by reopening arteries clogged with plaque.
In addition chelation can successfully treat peripheral vascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, autism and many other serious medical problems.
